As I sit in the clinic with healthcare workers, we are brainstorming a global project to improve the health of communities that live along the lake in areas that are hard to reach because of water barriers. It is my job to survey the area and speak with women, children, and nurses. I dream of a series of boat clinics, a practical way of reaching these isolated communities along Lake Tanganyika. If people can't get to the hospital, why not bring the hospital to them?
